ADD and OCD and every letter in between
Journal Entry: Sun Apr 6, 2008, 9:33 PM
Hey folks, long time no journal, eh? Been over a month.
I assure you all I'm not dead, just very preoccupied.
Friend things, relationship things, family things, work things, and car things. All sorts of things all wrapped in one package.
If it weren't for my books I don't know what would keep me together. Art just isn't making me relax as much as it used to. I mean, it still is my stress reliever(A lot healthier than having a smoke or settling down with a drink, don't ya think?) but it doesn't always make me relax. I really have been enjoying my Vonnegut collection lately, rereading oldies and reading Without A Country for the first time a few weeks ago, then rereading it over and over. Great book.
Now I just need to collect more. I don't have all of his works. What really bugs me is that I don't own Slaughterhouse Five! It's going to be my next purchase when I decide to spoil myself.
Which could be soon! One cheery note is I got a raise at work. I work hard and it is paying off a little bit now. Not that I have enough hours for it to make a difference. Now it just means my paychecks are enough to pay for gas for my weekly commutes AND I have some left over to buy myself food when I'm at school. That was a bit difficult for a while since our college food can be overpriced. (Seriously, $2.95 for a fucking chicken sandwich?! UGH. I can't wait for meal plan)
Of course, my car needs to be fixed now though, so I gotta find money for that. Oh man, horrible scenario with my car! I am going to my mechanic on wednesday, and my father is going to meet me there and more than likely pay for it. What's the horror in that? Well, I'm his adult daughter getting him to pay for car repairs the day after his BIRTHDAY. I fail. Epically.
I don't even know what to get him. I have a limited budget and the last thing I got him(I did a big charcoal piece of us from a picture when I was five and we were dancing at my uncle's wedding) seemed like a bad idea. He never hung it up or anything so I felt like it was a bad gift. I'll figure something out though, I'll try to get ideas from my little bro since he lives with my dad and might know what he wants.
Anyway. So, car needs to be fixed. I'm driving this shitty ford escort thing right now. Really old station wagon that is falling apart. Really cheap, it's our emergency spare car we got for $300 when my mom's bf was having car troubles. It is screwed up in so many ways. Every time I drive it I feel like white trash. Or rather, I feel I drove it outta some white trash lawn.
Commissions are still going. I gotta get things together since I already have one, just gotta sort out the info again.
I don't feel like ranting more. I'll be surprised if people read all of that anyway, that's a lot and I know I would just skim it. Then again, I'm a lazy sod.
I'm off to lay in bed. My plan is to sleep, so I'll see if that works out. Maybe I'll get a call from my bf. Who knows! The world is full of surprises, eh?
Peace. I'm out.

I will draw characters, fanart, anything pretty much, so long as you want me too. The paper I will draw on is 9"x12" if anyone wants to have the original mailed to them. I ink with faber castell or micron pens and I can color the artwork various ways. I have PS CS3, markers, graphite, charcoal, colored pencils... etc. Prices are as follows.
Bust shot:
Inked: $5

Colored Traditionally: $12
Full shot:
Inked: $8
Colored Digitally: $12
Colored Traditionally: $15
Prices can be negotiated, just because I need the money.
Traditional color choices are as follows:
-Prismacolor markers
-Gray-scale with graphite
-Colored Pencils
I do own a few copics, but not many, so colors are limited there to just orange, lime green, teal, burgandy, and light purple.
Traditional coloring is more expensive since I need to buy more as they run out.
Extra characters will increase the price of the drawing depending on how many you want.
Couple shots may not cost more. It depends on what you want.
Specific poses, extras, and backgrounds may increase the price, but only by a dollar or two. Just talk to me about it.

We have no right to distress any creature without a reason; we call them dumb animals, and so they are because they can not tell us how they feel; but they do not suffer less because they have no words.

For too long Ive been parched with thirst and unable to quench it. Too long Ive been starving to death and havent died. I feel nothing, not the wind on my face nor the spray of the sea, nor the warmth of a womans flesh~
